Digging where I stand 28May -1st june 2015
Join us for this powerful and inspiring weekend of finding our individual and collective voices through song, stories, music, time in nature and ceremony. Together we will draw upon our stories to gather the medicine of clarity, wisdom, healing and courage to hear and act from our authentic and inspired voice.
Mairi Campbell and Kedar Brown will lead this retreat. Kedar Brown is teacher of psychological and spiritual awareness, healer and ceremonialist. He is also a licensed professional counsellor and clinical addictions specialist.
Over the past thirty years Kedar has developed an effective and unique approach to emotional and spiritual wellbeing by braiding together his depth of clinical knowledge with more nature based, indigenous wisdom teachings and healing methods from around the world. His ceremonial and healing work has taken him all over the continental US, Africa, Australia, Ireland, and England and now Scotland.
Mairi will lead and support the group in sound and voice. Her experienced, gentle and intuitive approach allows your voice to find a clarity and authenticity.
"I have known Kedar for a long time as a man of spirit with remarkable devotion to healing. He tends to this duty with loyalty and ferocious commitment. As a man who hears the call of Earth and Nature, Kedar extends his hand to those in quest of change and transformation, and is always willing to lead them into and guide them through a communion with themselves. Having worked with him in a number of rituals and ceremonies, and watched carefully the way he gives of himself to spirit, I have come to respect his priestly devotion to the sacred in nature and in every human. His work deserves respect and reverence."

Turn sideways...turn sideways... into the mist...into the light... as they say the ancient Celts did and disappear into the ancestral pools of memory and belonging. Learn to live between things... in the subtle fluidity of names and beliefs in a way that keeps your attention and awareness sharpened to the moment. Be impatient with easy explanations and discipline the mind not to begin questions it already knows the answers too. Do not appear in the world in such a way that others give you a name that is too small for you." ~Kedar S. Brown
